People complain about high premiums of insurance or not have it available; we stay so preoccupied with sickness that we forget that we stay healthy longer than being sick. Being healthy and staying healthy is and should be our birthright. We should be spending more energy at staying healthy. It is entirely in our hands.
There is so much information floating around about how to eat right, still people cannot refrain from eating donuts hamburgers or potato chips! Proper meals are essential and they are not difficult to prepare, state of the mind at the time of eating is extremely important, if you want your food to be converted into a positive high energy. We need to be calm, focused, peaceful and in state of reverence when we eat. Food is a gift from GOD to sustain you. It is for our nourishment so eat wisely and do not overindulge. Be mindful chew and enjoy every morsel. You will eat less and digest more.
Physical body needs exercise to keep the mechanical body healthy. There is more to the body than just a mass of muscle, bone, blood, and nerves bundles. There is a souls and consciousness. Physical body is like an automobile for the soul. Except there is only one given for the lifetime, so we need to take care of it like there is no other! Body is happy, soul is happy. And YOGA is the answer to address the health of body mind together.
There is a story about Lord Shiva (the lord of universe) and Parvati (his consort). They were leisurely flying around in their chariot. Parvati observed the plight of the people. They seemed to be sickly, suffering from illnesses and very unhappy. She asked the Lord if anything could be done to help them. Of course, Shiva said, they should do YOGA. This was a comprehensive plan to create a perfect physical health and peaceful mind. As most of the plight in the physical body precipitates from unsettled troublesome worried mind.

Attending Yoga Class
Two to three times a week is a good frequency to attend a yoga class. In the beginning, watch your comfort zone and work according to your capacity. Practice will make you better. Watch your breath, which is the key to be able to progress well.
