maggiemetzingerRecovering from unusual abdominal reconstructive surgery in 2000, Maggie was stunned when her doctor informed her that she would be unable to return to her Martial Arts practice and needed to find a more sedentary form of exercise. Maggie discovered yoga and was delighted to learn how much the mind-body connection aligned with her own personal beliefs and how healing yoga could be on multiple levels. Under the tutelage of Ranjana, Maggie began to reap the benefits of a consistent practice and was able to continue her Martial Arts studies. Because yoga had profoundly shaped and positively affected her life in so many ways, she was drawn to help others on their yoga journeys.
